Trier: one photo at a time

Germany\’s oldest city through the eyes of a Kiwi

Der Dom

The Trierer Dom as viewed from Liebfrauenstraße

I’m going to stick with yesterday’s theme and post another photo of one of Trier’s many churches. This time, it’s the Trierer Dom, the Trier Cathedral, seen here towering over the surrounding buildings. This photo is taken from Liebfrauenstraße.

  1. Most parts on the picture do not show the Dom but the Liebfrauenkirche. Only the left tower with its spiky roof belongs to the Dom.

  2. Nice shots – So if you could choose…would it be Nieu Zealand or Germany?

  3. @ Ernst: Oh yes, I realise that. That’s what I meant by “towering over”. Maybe I wasn’t clear enough about it.

@Marieta: Difficult question. Can I say *both*? 😉
